So today is the first day where I get back on the wonderful Los Angeles Metro system.

All buses arrived on time.even in the rain. impressive. Let’s keep this up boys.

Neighborhood

I started a new series as mentioned in my post below. This one is tentatively called “Neighborhood”. Some days I like the name, other times I feel like it’s too obvious but sometimes I feel like it works because it’s also a vague word…. anyways.

I’m thinking a series of maybe 4. Also I am flirting with the idea of introducing color pencils to fill in a background. Give it a flat look. I’ve done this in the past on a sketchbook and it seemed to work fine.

Not sure what feel I am trying to capture with these neighborhoods but while drawing I think back of playing in the streets of Sao Paulo and also being in a huge park in the middle of the city.

 

Evil Pink Eye

A small but complete series. A detail of various triangular shaped creatures I have been drawing. You can almost say a portrait of sorts. Hoping to develop these guys with full bodies and arms and legs and such as and the Iraq. Would also liek to put them in different situations and environments. Moving forward.

I’ve been content with the neon background against the stark black of the marker. Starting on a bigger series of maybe 4  drawings on a neon yellow cardboard. Working title: Neighborhood.

Hello all. Started a new series this weekend. I had this booklet of some thick coverstock paper with patterns on them. I decided they would work nicely against these things I am drawing latetly. I have three sheet. # drawings for this series. I also added some smaller skingle piece sketches. Had the urge to draw body parts. More to come…
